Use of "Superior Court" to Mean Trial Court

[edit]

I think that using the term "Superior Court" to mean the superior trial court is misleading. The Courts of Appeal for the provinces are all superior courts, as are the Federal Court of Appeal and the Federal Court. Perhaps a better term would "superior trial court" for that category?
