Classifications

[edit]

Your code is as follows; you've either copied WikiProject Film's code and not modified it, or you decided to share their categories:

{{#switch:{class}
|FA=
|A=
|GA=
|B=
|Start=
|Stub=
|Dab=
|Template=
|Cat=
|=
|#default=
}}

Although Horror is of course a subgenre of film, the idea most certainly is that the classification categories belong to one Project. WikiProject Film might want to assess the articles independently. I've rolled it back for now and suggest you create your own categories, or just confirm with the WPFilm guys that you'll be sharing categories. (If still unsure, please come to Wikipedia talk:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Index of subjects). --kingboyk 09:32, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Given that your Project page says "It is designed to supplement (not to replace) the work done by WikiProject Films and WikiProject Novels, the two WikiProjects into which the majority of its articles also fit.", I'm now certain you should have your own categories. You don't just cover film, and you may very well come up with different ratings than (and will certainly come up with different importance ratings than) the Film (and Novels) WikiProject(s). Therefore, you need to create your own categories. If it's not done in the next few days and I have a moment I'll do it myself :) --kingboyk 14:31, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done, using a standardised layout as practiced by the major WikiProjects. --kingboyk 15:03, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Future book?

[edit]

The template marks future film but not future book? Is there a specific reason, since this WikiProject is supposed to encompass films and novels? If this isn't addressed in the next couple of days, I'll boldly correct it myself. Thank you. hornoir (talk) 13:51, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Task forces

[edit]

There is a discussion to shift Wikipedia:WikiProject Saw to a task force of WikiProject Horror and, if this is done, I'll be adding task force parameters to the template unless their is a reasonable objection to doing so. Thank you. hornoir (talk) 13:51, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Importance

[edit]

Whilst looking over Talk:The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, I noticed that the importance rating links to both Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Assessment and Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror/Assessment. I don't know if this is a mistake in the template, but Texas Chainsaw Massacre was never a novel.--EclipseSSD (talk) 17:04, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops. I don't know how that snuck in there, but I'll fix it. Thanks. hornoir (talk) 19:44, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to think about recoding the banner so that it only accepts the importance types you want. Currently it will accept any of the non-standard types such as Core-importance, Bottom-importance, No-importance etc., and I don't believe that's what you want. Can you please remove the Stubclass template from the end of the banner? The necessary details in that template already seem to be present within the banner, plus it shows up when the banner is used within WPBS which is something it really shouldn't be doing.
