The mythosaur is a fictional species from the American television series, The Mandalorian. It symbolizes the Mandalorians, as they were tamed and ridden by ancient Mandalorians, but were thought to have gone extinct long before the series is set. Although the mythosaur appears many times in the series in the form of skeletons, sculptures and marks, a real mythosaurus only appears once in a living state. They live in the living waters in the Mines of Mandalore, which is situated on the planet of Mandalore, in the Outer Rim. During the only appearance of the mythosaur, it is witnessed by Bo-Katan Kryze, when she rescues The Mandalorian from the depths of the living waters. When she informs The Armorer about her sighting, at first The Armorer is skeptical, but later comes upon the conclusion that this sighting means a new age for the Mandalorians.
