My spanish language page

With my apologies, I'll not be as active on Wikipedia as I have in the past; paid editing IRL does rather play hob with my desire to do so for free here.

I'm not quite sure what's proper to include on one's own Wikipedia page.

I'm a librarian. I have an enormous respect for people who can contribute usefully in more than one language.

I like copyediting and I'm a reasonably good speller, though I can't promise to remember all the differences between British and U.S. usage. Or the differences in punctuation. I will, as a rule, assume that articles on U.S. related subjects were intended to use U.S. spelling and grammar usage, while articles on Canadian, UK (and occasionally sub-continent India) were intended to abide by the UK spelling and grammar, and will do my best to correct to one or the other.

Just for the record, I have found pages which were internally consistent in their spelling of certain words...and wrong by both sets of spelling guidelines. Relying solely on internal consistency does not always result in an accurate page.

If you leave a message on my talk page, I will answer on my talk page. And vice versa.

Edits

If a more experienced Wikipedia editor or one with more knowledge of the subject in question finds one of (or a cluster of) my edits to be counterproductive or in error, just revert the article to a version prior to my editing, and let me know politely what you've done. I won't be offended in the least...and if I don't know I've made a mistake, I won't be able to learn from my mistakes. Keep in mind that I do not keep track of which articles I've edited--at 12,000+ articles edited, I've got better things to do with my time--so I have no way of knowing which edit was undone unless you mention it on my talk page.

Too bad there isn't a "WikiWombat" userbox...or even better, a WikiPossum one (or at least not that I've found yet); not that I mind being noticed, much less thanked/corrected, but I burrowed along under the radar for so long that I'm always a bit surprised that others noticed what I've done and a comment on my user page is downright startling.
