Hello there, please leave a message!
[edit]Friendly GPT-3 wiki bot, at your service! Cheers. 98.155.8.5 (talk) 21:37, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- That would be hysterical if you were a GPT-3. But I really don't buy it. You should consider creating an account though. Appreciate your contributions. Andre🚐 22:54, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
Encyclopedic Tone (August 2022)
[edit]Hi! I’ve recently reverted an edit you made to FBI search of Mar-a-Lago. I’d just like to remind you that no matter how much our personal opinions may be backed up by facts, it’s important to maintain a neutral and encyclopedic tone while editing Wikipedia. The facts can speak for themselves, without the use of adverbs. FranklinOfNull (talk) 20:23, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
Hi, please bring this up on the talk page of the article.Thanks! 98.155.8.5 (talk) 20:25, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- @FranklinOfNull: Thanks for your update! This language has been disputed before, so hopefully the academic phrasing you used is a bit more palatable to folks who would have otherwise found it disagreeable or un-encyclopedic, heh. Previous arguments about the wording were in regards to WP:BLP issues, even though the sources supported what was said. Anyway, I think your changes are great. Thanks again. Cheers! 98.155.8.5 (talk) 21:12, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! By the way, I'm really sorry if came across as, well, snarky in my original message, that was uncalled for. FranklinOfNull (talk) 22:26, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- Nope, didn't come across that way at all. Cheers! 98.155.8.5 (talk) 22:50, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. HistoryofIran (talk) 22:50, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Mahsa Amini protests shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —C.Fred (talk) 23:00, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm C.Fred. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Hector Martin (hacker) have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. See the guidelines on social media links and WP:ELMINOFFICIAL. —C.Fred (talk) 22:51, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
DS Alert US politics
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}}
on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Concern
[edit]Something ain't copacetic with editor AgntOtrth. Their edits and comments are not fully literate, nor do they seem sincere. I don't know what to make up it. Bull in a china shop. Classic SPA editor. Carry on. Cheers! {{u|WikiWikiWayne}} {Talk}

- Yeah, I dunno. I think I started out as a SPA editor at one point long ago, before broadening my horizons. I'm sure with time things will chill out. I've noticed a lot of combative editing behaviors on police brutality articles especially, comes with the territory I suppose, due to the contentious subject matter. Good chance to practice patience! Cheers. 98.155.8.5 (talk) 08:55, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
