Editing
[edit]Hallo Anani and welcome to Wikipedia. I saw the article Hanan Gewefel while I was stub-sorting. Thank you for creating it, but there were a few problems with the article as you wrote it:
- It started "Is a an Egyptian physician ...". That suggests that you didn't check your writing carefully, as "a an" doesn't make sense
- but it should have started "Hanan Gewefel is an Egyptian physician ...": remember to include the title at the start of the lead in most cases, certainly in biographies
- In the first paragraph you started Every Word With A Capital Letter. I don't know whether you were using some software with the wrong setting, but this is not good English style. I've changed all these, but please never do this again.
- The second paragraph started "Dr. Hanan Gewefel", but we only use the surname when referring to someone after the lead sentence, so "Gewefel" is all that is needed here.
- The infobox should go above all the text of the article.
I then looked at your other edits and found you had created Ohema Adjei Andoh, but all the sources spell her name as "Ohemaa", with two As. I've moved the article to the correct name - unless you know otherwise, in which case please explain. If this was a mistake, then please, please, take more care: creating an article at the wrong name is less than ideal.
There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it's an interesting journey. Happy Editing, but please note the above points and go a little more slowly, checking your edits, so that you are contributing usefully to the encyclopedia without other editors spending their time cleaning up after you. Thanks. PamD 07:31, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- I also see that you used a Wiki as a source: such sites are not reliable sources, so I have removed Gewefel's date of birth as it is only sourced to this unreliable site, and Wikipedia is very strict about providing unsourced information about living people. PamD 07:50, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Well noted Sir, will take note of all ur suggestions and not repeat them again. Making mistakes and getting corrected is a productive way of learning. Am always ready and humble for your correction. Anani A. George (talk) 09:02, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Did You Know nomination
[edit]The article Ohemaa Adjei Andoh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not sufficiently notable, orphan article, needs copyediting for grammar, does not seem totally neutral.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kazamzam (talk) 14:09, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 12:27, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]On 10 November 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. [edit]Hanan Gewefel moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Hanan Gewefel, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 03:27, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Anani A. George! Your additions to Mamprugu-Moagduri District have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:51, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
