Scrubs

Thanks for your interest in the Scrubs tv show. I also love the show and I'm happy that JD and Elliot might get back together based on the season 6 finale. However, despite my enjoyment of the show, I'd like to request that you don't redirect Scrubs to Scrubs (TV series); the page is currently functioning according to Wikipedia policy. --NormanEinstein 13:23, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Just thought you might want to know, the article Music in Scrubs, which you created, has been put up on Articles for Deletion. If you wish to comment, you can do so on its nomination page. --Gpollock 05:32, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

extreme metal template

You added genres that don't exist, and Gothic metal is not extreme metal at all, so I did the honour of removing them for you.

also, metalcore is barely metal, let alone extreme metal. 24.139.31.210 (talk) 00:51, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

One Night Only

A tag has been placed on One Night Only (Indie pop band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PKT (talk) 14:45, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

I was going to do exactly what you did, but when I tried that with the new navbox template it didn't work. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to go back to the old template that starts with "{[". It was my idea though, I originally took the format from the Neurosis template and replaced it for the At the Gates template above^. --CircafuciX 19:16, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I have a silent film strip called the New frontier starring John Wayne based on a Republic film called New Hope. Any idea of the date this was made. There is no reference to this film in the John Wayne film history.

They are asking who owns the copyright for the image of film strip. I don't know as i found the strip in an old box in the attic. I supose it belongs to me? how do i let them know? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Baritone600 (talkcontribs) 16:47, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Beregsău River

I don't understand your comments and object to the flagging of the article for deletion. There are no notoriety criteria for rivers. The article is part of the Wikipedia: Rivers project where this has been decided. The issue has been discussed several times since, related to articles on various rivers. There are several thousand articles which are in the same situation. Please state the reasons for which you singled out the Beregsău river.Afil (talk) 16:42, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

You may be right and you are entitled to your oppinion. However, a decision on this matter has been reached and the article complies to the prevailing rules. This is not the place to raise the issue. For the time being the policy is that there should not be any notoriety criteria for rivers.Afil (talk) 16:55, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Thundermaster, please be sure that you have read the criteria at WP:CSD so that you are not misapplying speedy tags. Thanks, --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 17:01, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

CSD:A7

Hi. :) I came across your speedy deletion tag on Yellow Demo, and I just wanted to point out to you that {{db-a7}} is specifically for people (individually or grouped) and websites. There is currently no consensus for speedily deleting other articles types under this criterion. Other articles that fail to assert notability should go through proposed deletion or articles for deletion. Thanks for keeping an eye out on article quality. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:46, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

No problem. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:38, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I understand being busy at work, man! But that's great that it's up now! I've put my name, but it doesn't look like my name is alligned right. If you could fix it for me, that'd be cool. BTW, does this project have an infobox? Dark Executioner (talk) 19:30, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner

Yeah, I jumped at the opportunity to join the project, I've been a member of Wikipedia for a long time and also a longtime editor of the Slipknot page. I was the one who created the article for their 4th full-length album. It was strange how they were trying to delete it at first, but that problem is behind us now. Also wanted to ask if you were interested in helping me start a Wikiproject:Korn or Wikiproject:Pantera. Dark Executioner (talk) 19:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner

How do you start Wikiprojects? Once I know this, you and me can begin working on it! Dark Executioner (talk) 20:21, 7 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner

We can't force people to join. But, after reading the comments on the Pantera talk page, I saw the point that people like M3tal H3ad were making. Instead of having Pantera's own Wikiproject, we could just make them a part of Wikiproject:Metal, which would probably be an even better deal. Dark Executioner (talk) 12:32, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner

That sounds like an excellent idea to me. We might actually get more supporters that way. Dark Executioner (talk) 17:30, 11 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner

Slipknot Project

Thanks man, good work to you too. I thought about starting one before because mainly it's only Slipknot related articles I edit, but because of that I didn't really have enough experience outside of Slipknot to create the project. The progress of WikiProject is good though man, once we get the guidelines up and we have a solid base to work from we can start setting things up like adopt an article or having certain articles the focal point for a few days, setting members tasks. I look forward to it, so yeah let's get it set up fully so we can get a good team together because atm, I'm sure you know that a lot of the Slipknot articles are really bad. Rezter TALK 06:59, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

No I don't know anybody dude, you should look at the history of some Slipknot pages and see who edits regularly and invite them. Seriously dude we need to get these guidelines up and then we can start setting tasks and shit we gotta get the others more productive with this project they haven't really done much to help it get it started. Speedy nomination of Neso tomic

Hello there!

I nominated the above article for speedy deletion as per WP:CSD#G3 and I notice that you changed the nomination reason to WP:CSD#A1 which is fine. Quite often I find that when I nominate an inapropriate article for speedy deletion, the author of the article will remove or change the speedy tag because they probably don't know or don't care about Wikipedia policies. That's when I become quick on the trigger to issue a warning to their talk page or report them to the administrators. That's what my initial reaction was when I noticed that my nomination was changed and there was no edit summary. I don't mean to sound rude or condescending but I think it would be really helpful if you could include even the shortest of short edit summaries like, in this case, speedy nom or csd a1. That way, no one has to double check youd edit to make sure you didn't do something you're trying to hide. You've done some really good editing and, clearly, you have nothing to hide in your edits so just try to make sure that the rest of us can see what you've been doing. Thanks. Speedy deletion of Dark metal

A tag has been placed on Dark metal, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Thundermaster. I had actually been researching the use of nu-funk as a term, since that was the article that you had nominated for deletion. In the seven references I added, I didn't come across any evidence that funktronica was an equivalent term. I suspect that there are subtle differences although I do not know enough about this type of music to say what those differences are. I don't think they should be merged unless there is some compelling evidence that they actually are referring to the same type of music. Maybe contact the editor who wrote Funktronica? One option would be to put Nu-funk in the See also section instead of at the start of the article. --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 14:31, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

P.S. Funktronica does appear to be a term that is in use. --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 14:38, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Okay, as you can see I've researched the use of funktronica. Again, in all those references, I did not find any evidence that nu-funk is an equivalent term. Cheers, --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 15:23, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I see, like two close genres, indie pop and indie rock or glam rock and glam metal... Thanks for reading, ThunderMaster UTC 14:30, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I think it is likely that they are two close genres. Cheers, --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 15:24, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
