This page in a nutshell: Do not use Wikipedia to host alternate versions of television shows |
For the WikiProject for alternate history that has been published and has been reviewed by reliable sources, see WikiProject Alternate History.
Sometimes editors use Wikipedia to display alternate versions of television shows. Versions of RuPaul's Drag Race are common, but this practice is not limited to RuPaul. This is not a permitted use of Wikipedia. Files displaying or presenting alternate television shows are subject to deletion, whether they are in draft space, user sandboxes, other user files, or any other namespace. There are several policies and guidelines that apply, such as Wikipedia is not a web host, Wikipedia is not for things made up, and the policy against original research. Alternate television may, depending on the circumstances, be: tagged for speedy deletion as U5, misuse as web hosting; tagged for speedy deletion as G3, hoaxes; or nominated for deletion.
If you want to display alternate versions of television shows, web storage is cheap, and lots of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will be happy to host it for you. But not Wikipedia or other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation.
