The Anacreontea is a collection of poems by numerous, anonymous imitators of the Greek poet Anacreon, and was long believed to be the work of Anacreon himself. The poems were written between the 1st century BC and the 6th century AD, using a different metre and a different dialect than the Ionian used by Anacreon.
