  • In general use, Türkisch refers to the varieties spoken in Turkey, including at most the closely related varieties in countries neighbouring Turkey (such as Bulgaria or Syria).
  • In linguistic and other scientific use, Türkisch usually refers to the above only when the context is clear, while Türkeitürkisch (literally Turkey Turkish) is used for clarity.
