From Old Galician-Portuguese algaravia, from Andalusian Arabic اَلْعَرَبِيَّة (al-ʕarabíyya), from Arabic اَلْعَرَبِيَّة (al-ʕarabiyya, Arabic [language]). Compare Galician and Spanish algarabía.
