Etymology

Affrication of earlier penshen and ڤنشين (pensyen) from English pension,[1][2] from Anglo-Norman pencione, Old French pencion, and their source, borrowed from Latin pēnsiō, pēnsiōnem (payment, weight, rent, compensation), from the participle stem of pendere (to weigh). Doublet of pensiun.
