script out (third-person singular simple present scripts out, present participle scripting out, simple past and past participle scripted out)

  1. (computing, transitive) To simplify or automate a process using scripts (a file containing a list of user commands, allowing them to be invoked once to execute in sequence).
    You could finish this quicker by scripting it out.
  2. (transitive) To create a script of (something) (the text of a stage play, movie, or other performance).
