This is a picture of a model of the muscular and skeletal system in the arm that I created last year and recently rediscovered!  In it, I recreated the arm by using string, balloons, and straws to be the muscles, tendons and bones.  When I blew into the straw on the top of the arm (the bicep), the balloon inflated which tightened the string around it which pulled the lower part of the arm up just like when the muscle contracts.   It reminded me of the model from lab!
