The classic counterpart of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, better known as Dr. Eggman, is the main antagonist of the classic era of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is a younger counterpart of his modern self. He desires to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog and conquer his world, even assisting the Modern Eggman in an attempt to achieve these goals. He is Classic Sonic's arch-nemesis.
