This old four span through truss bridge spans over Red River on a railroad line. It runs just east of U.S. 69/75 highway and crossing the Texas & Oklahoma border. A preserved bridge in Alabama is a reminder to locals of terrifying crossings, in which cars, trains and a span raised for barges might cause a collision at any moment.

NX Drawbridge on the Passaic River in Newark NJ. This bridge originally carried the Erie's Paterson-Newark branch across the river and eastward to Jersey City. The last train to cross was in 1977. NX Draw has been abandoned in the up position for 30 years. NX is a Bascule (angular) drawbridge. Some scenes from the film ANNIE were shot on this bridge in 1982.
