Method: projects.buckets.addFirebase

Links a Google Cloud Storage bucket to the specified Firebase project.

By linking a bucket, it's now a Cloud Storage for Firebase bucket, and it will be accessible to Firebase SDKs, Firebase Security Rules, and Firebase tooling (like the Firebase console and Firebase CLI).

POST https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v1alpha/{bucket=projects/*/buckets/*}:addFirebase

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
bucket

string

Required. Resource name of the bucket, mirrors the ID of the underlying Google Cloud Storage bucket, projects/{project_id_or_number}/buckets/{bucket_id}.

Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource bucket:

  • firebasestorage.buckets.addFirebase

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Bucket.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/firebase
