What you an see here is the 'Coil' or 'Ring' binding method. However, this specific book has been binded with 'Twin Loop Wire Binding' which is essentially double the rings. This style is very popular for things such as note pads and diaries. The twin loop wire binding has a more elegant feel to it than the singular wire or coil binding however. Additionally, its advantages are that it is much stronger than coil binding itself which is another benefit.
