Choosing a Chasing Hammer: this is very informative-- maybe even too much so for a newbie. Tools are so hard to know what to buy or not buy! Guides like this are indispensable.

I bought this on ebay a while back.....I've yet to make a handle for it......Its just got a beautiful form. I think it dates somewhere in the 1850-1870's period....but this is just a guess. I thought it was made by Stubs.......but the initial isn't right.......P.S. Stubs was the firm I was thinking......and none of his sons were an "H"........Does anybody have any ideas? I believe it is european.....british, french, german or swiss.....but again....just guessing.
