💥The “Hip Hinge”💥 I put the Hip Hinge in the category of MANDATORY EXERCISES FOR EVERYONE OVER 40. Seriously. 

👉 Knowing how to properly fold/hinge at your hips and NOT round over at your low back to bend over will really save your bacon anytime you go to pick something up. 

Plus, practicing this move over and over again will strengthen your hips/glutes and your core. Making you even more resilient for many years to come. It’s a win-win! 🙌 

➡️ Watch out though!!! When you first practice the hip hinge, your back may want to round over since that could be your default movement pattern (without realizing it). 😬 By using a dowel of some sort like this, it will guide you into proper technique and start training those hips the right way. 👍
