Today, my sister and I built a "rainforest" in my classroom. We constructed this tree in the middle of my classroom--this is our 4th year doing this, so we're pros now. The trunk is a frame made out of welded wire that is cable-tied together. Then, we cover it with brown butcher paper, paint the tree/wood look on it. The branches I keep in large plastic bins, so I can reuse them each year. The leaves are stapled into clumps, and then stapled onto fishing line, that we use to wrap around each…
