As I said in my other artist's statement, I did two pieces. This is my second. While in the first one, I focused on folding, this one I focused on cutting and weaving. I used a basic right triangle shape in each composition, showing how the shape can interact with itself in different ways. I wove the shapes in and out of each other to create interesting shadows. I wanted to focus more on the curvilinear lines I could create by still using the straight lines of the triangle shape. Overall, I…
