An excerpt from a book which describes a cultural tradition of the Amish, Rumspringa, where teenagers are allowed to experience life outside of the community in order to make an informed decision about whether they wish to remain, and be baptised, into their faith, or not. This excerpt describes the changing of clothes in order to 'change' identity.
