Shake and Spill is a fun, engaging, partner or independent game played by shaking a cup filled with two colored counters and spilling them onto a table. Students count how many of each color there are and record it as an equation or number bond. This game is easily adaptable to different skill levels. With two game versions available, students can practice decomposing numbers in multiple ways and develop a deep understanding of this important math concept.
