Jamie Young - Natural Dye Educator on Instagram: "👉🏼✨Comment GARDEN and I’ll send you a list of the best, most affordable carbon and nitrogen sources to use while building a lasagna garden. 🌿🥳

We love using a hybrid lasagna garden method (inspired by the hugelkultur method) to fill our raised bed gardens. As you can see in the video, layers of brown (carbon) and green (nitrogen) materials are placed directly into the garden beds. The soil is enriched as the layers begin to compost over time.

There are so many advantages to this method:

- cost effectiveness
- Low waste (re-using materials)
- Low maintenance
- Earth worm haven

In general, a lasagna garden should be made from approximately 70% carbon materials and 30% nitrogen materials.
