It's bad practice, and really no one should be using it. If your users don't have the package, then tell them to install it and also add a requirements.txt file.

On some online IDEs (like replit), you have to use it to make sure the library stays installed. But I agree that it's usually bad practice

@TimMcCool Replit uses a package manager named Poetry. In replit, you can run the command poetry add scratchattach and it will work fine.

Using os.system is a very hacky solution and I agree with the original poster @15696. I think this should be re-opened.
