Setup

  • Rancher version: 2.8.0-rc3
  • Rancher UI Extensions: Epinio Extension
  • Browser type & version: Brave v1.60.118

Describe the bug

Initially reported here: epinio/ui#377

When installing the Epinio extension for the first time, I get a "loading" status permanently on the Epinio extension card. See the video below to illustrate this better:

After refreshing it shows the correct status, but it does not happen until then.

To Reproduce

  • Fresh install on rancher v2.8.0-rc3
  • On Preferences, enable Extension developer features & Include Prerelease Versions
  • Install Epinio extension as described in points 1 and 2 here

Result
"Loading" is permanently shown on the Epinio extension box

Expected Result

"Loading" sign should stop after a few seconds

Additional context

@richard-cox asked me if this was also observed in with other extensions and it seemed so with Kubewarden as well, so I open the bug here in case is general to more extensions.

I believe this has been fixed in the latest version - please validate and reopen if you still see this problem.
