Excited to announce another major iteration of wtfpython after almost 2 years. Here's what changed since the last major update,

  • Notebook based interactive version of wtfpython is now available.
  • Added a lot of new examples (marked with an asterisk in the titles). Also, thanks to those who shared their gems.
  • Revised some existing snippets for better understanding.
  • Fix most of the open issues related to incomplete/incorrect/outdated explanation.
  • Reorganized examples for a smoother reading flow.
  • The wtfpython npm package (real wtf according to some readers) will no longer be maintained from now on (it still works though).
  • Fixed some grammar mistakes.
  • Made minor aesthetical changes.
  • There's also a Chinese translation (for 2.0 version), and WIP translations for French, Korean, and Russian. Contributions welcome! (corresponding issues).

I'm very excited to share the much-improved version of "What the f*ck Python!". Here's all that has changed since the very first version of this project.

  • A lot of new examples (marked with an asterisk in the titles). Thanks to some amazing people to help me out with this.
  • Organized the examples into the following 5 major sections:
    • Appearances are deceptive!
    • The Hidden treasures!
    • Strain your brain!
    • Watch out for the landmines!
    • Miscellaneous
  • Released a basic functional pypi package to read on CLI. (Yes, finally!)
  • Add April fool jokes, easter eggs and other hidden interesting features of Python.
  • Fix most the opened issues in the Github's issue tracker of the repository regarding incorrect/insufficient explanations.
  • Fix a hell lot of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, add few more puns.
