Akron Athletics and INFLCR Announce Partnership

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron Athletics Department has partnered with INFLCR to provide Zips student-athletes tools and resources to maximize their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, the department announced Tuesday.
The partnership establishes the Go Zips Exchange, a tool to connect University of Akron student-athletes with interested businesses and individuals, streamlining the process of generating business activity related to their NIL.
"We are very excited to see our partnership with Teamworks evolve to include INFLCR as a resource for our student-athletes," said Senior Associate Athletic Director, Jackie Wallgren. "This resource will provide a valuable marketplace for businesses and individuals to find our student-athletes and connect with them on potential NIL opportunities."
By adding INFLCR to Akron's existing relationship with the Teamworks Elite program, UA student-athletes can now complete their NIL activities on one platform and with one login. Another key component of the INFLCR partnership is the ability to maximize the student-athletes' wallet share with no transaction fees via the INFLCR Local Exchange.
Through the Go Zips Exchange, a business or individual may register and immediately connect with a student-athlete. All the money generated through these connections go directly to the student-athlete.
Earlier this summer, The University of Akron extended its existing relationship with Teamworks by signing onto Teamworks Elite, a new, bundled offering that combines the industry's leading technology solutions into a single, unified offering. INLFCR is a significant component of the Teamworks Elite bundle as it is a leader in the NIL industry. Teamworks powers more than 5,000 sports organizations around the world, including collegiate athletic departments and teams across all the major professional leagues.
INFLCR Local Exchange: How It Works
INFLCR provides a school-customized NIL exchange as an extension to their athletics website where the school can send any business, individual or collective seeking to bring NIL opportunities to its student-athletes. Once registered, businesses can search, communicate, pay and report on behalf of student-athletes they're transacting with, streamlining the student-athletes compliance and tax reporting responsibilities in their existing INFLCR app experience.
