I love how skin looks in paintings; all the tones blended to make a persons exterior. I think it's such a beautiful, and complex thing to paint. I decided not to finish this piece; I like it as is. The hardest parts were the collar bones; they're soft, and didn't have much definition. Unlike the face, with a lot of tighter brush strokes and highlights.
