AGRICULTURAL FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION COSTS GRANT PROGRAM (NEW!)
This program provides grant funds to assist farmer or rancher in meeting costs of complying with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), FDA regulations and state food safety laws. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2019.

GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES (GAP) VIDEOS
The Commodities Branch and the USDA have collaborated on producing a series of seven videos to help farmers understand how GAP certification works and why it’s important for farms to become GAP certified.
View the videos which have also been translated in Chinese, Thai and Spanish (Ilocano translation coming soon).
NEW FOOD SAFETY PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
HDOA’s Commodities Branch has produced a series of public service announcements (PSAs) to promote good agricultural practices and good food safety practices in all areas of food production and handling. The PSAs are running on Spectrum (Oceanic) cable stations through the end of this year.
