Nicholas Joseph Braun (lahir 1 Mei 1988)[1] adalah aktor asal Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal karena perannya sebagai Greg Hirsch dalam serial HBO, Succession (2018–2023), di mana ia telah menerima tiga nominasi Primetime Emmy Award untuk Aktor Pendukung Luar Biasa dalam Serial Drama.[2] Ia juga tampil di beberapa film, antara lain Sky High (2005), Minutemen (2008), Princess Protection Program (2009), Red State (2011), Prom (2011), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), The Watch (2012), Date and Switch (2014), How to Be Single (2016), Zola (2021) dan Cat Person (2023).
Awal kehidupan
[sunting | sunting sumber]Braun lahir dan besar di Long Island, New York. Ayahnya, Craig Braun, adalah seorang aktor dan mantan desainer grafis, yang ikut merancang logo lidah dan bibir The Rolling Stones.[3] Ketika Braun berusia lima tahun,[4] orang tuanya bercerai, dan dia membagi waktunya antara rumah ibunya di Connecticut dan rumah ayahnya di Manhattan.[5]
Braun bersekolah di sekolah asrama saat remaja,[3] dan berakting selama liburan musim panas.[6] Ia kuliah di Occidental College sebagai jurusan matematika, namun keluar setelah dua tahun untuk melanjutkan karir di bidang akting.[4]
