The first two times somebody came to hook me up, there was no service at the pole on the street. The third time (two weeks later), there was some kind of SNAFU where the network couldn't see the ONT. The tech was here all day and had to come back the following day. When he came back the next morning, they had finally gotten the problem (something they'd never seen before, apparently) worked out. But, Gerald, the installer, was very friendly, courteous, and polite and kept me informed about what was going on. I had the luxury of having working internet, so the delay didn't really cause me any trouble beyond having to pay for an extra two weeks of Spectrum.

The installer who came on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2024, to hook up the fiber cable and install internet was fast, efficient and knowledgeable. I was extremely pleased with his efforts. However, the installation was completed a MONTH later than originally promised. Before he left he told me that Brightspeed would be back to bury the fiber in "5 to 8 days." Today is day 15, and the fiber is still laying on top of my yard.

My internet connection speed has varied greatly over the two weeks it has been active, as low as 200 mbps up to 450 mbps, with upload speeds being faster (up to 650!) than downloads.

Cory and the other BRIGHTSPEED technicians were prompt and courteous and kept me informed of their progress in fixing the problem on our street. Cory checked back with me to be sure my internet was up and working before they left the street. Their service was prompt and was performed during freezing weather here. Thank you!

Installation was fast. No problems getting set up. Speed test showed a significant improvement over what we had before. Been running for almost a month and no problems at all! Loving it!

Brightspeed Sends out an excellent Service Technician to handle your internet issues.

DO NOT GET BRIGHTSPEED

DO NOT GET BRIGHTSPEED. Signed up 2 months ago. Technician never showed never called. I had to call Brightspeed. The tech had canceled the job 5 hours earlier yet no one called me. I canceled and they refunded my account. Gave them a 2nd chance today. Tech came and left temp cable. Hooked up modem/router. Tells me service isn't working. It's on the business side and doesn't know why. Leaves at 11:30 and calls me at 4 to see if it's working. Says he will wait until Monday to close the ticket or he wont get paid! So I have no service and called and spoke with 4 reps and told 4 answers why it isn't working. One answer was because there is no drop cable. So wtf is laying in my yard if there is no cable? What is this modem connected to then? I HATE THIS COMPANY AND THEIR LYING EMPLOYEES!

I ONLY HAD ONE INCIDENT SO FAR

I ONLY HAD ONE INCIDENT SO FAR, AND THAT WAS DUE TO THE WEATHER...IT HAD SOME OF THE TREES FALLING ONTO THE LINES, FROM ALL THE WIND AND SNOW!! IT WAS TAKEN CARE OF BY THE POWER COMPANY BEFORE IT BECAME A REAL PROBLEM!!

Service is great technician was great…

Service is great technician was great everything was good except the technician still has the key to my basement and that is where my water heater is and the pipes under my house and if they freeze the landlord will charge me $500 or more to take door out and repair I can't afford that I'm on a fixed income I need the key to my house back immediately he was supposed to drop it by this morning and no one has

I had an appointment yesterday but…

I had an appointment yesterday but never received a text when tech was on the way. I took off work today and received 2 texts back to back stating tech was on the way and tech has arrived. All within 2 minutes. Tech today was awesome. I have called numerous times and unable to speak to a human. Installer of new line cut my existing line in 2 places after I showed them where it was run. I hope I didn’t make a mistake choosing Brightspeed.

Fast

Fast , easy, and great tech service guy. Soon as I connected my cell phone, bam I was able to watch FB videos and lives without any problems like I had with Viasat satellite internet. I live out in the sticks.
