Annual Giving
Annual gifts provide critical support to many of the College of IST’s core programs and functions. This unrestricted support ensures the college can meet its immediate needs while also providing new opportunities and experiences. Individual contributions add up to make a profound impact on our community, ensuring that the impact of your gift outweighs its size.
Endowments
Endowed gifts allow your contribution to provide permanent, self-sustaining funding to the area you choose. The principal gift is invested and remains untouched. Only the returns from that investment are used to support the fund’s purpose, whether the fund is restricted for a particular use or unrestricted to support the college’s greatest needs. Named endowments can be established with a minimum contribution of $20,000 through outright gifts pledged to be paid over a number of years, or they can be funded later through estate bequests, gift annuities, trusts, and other planned gifts.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts include estate bequests, gift annuities, trusts, and gifts of real estate, insurance, or life income that provide lifetime payments to the donor. Planned gifts can be designated to support existing restricted or unrestricted funds, or they can be used to establish new endowments. Many planned gifts offer tax advantages to the donor, and they are an impactful way to leave a meaningful and lasting legacy at Penn State.
