If you still own it on steam, a fix for this is to right click on the game in your library then click on properties. That will open up a menu where you will see something titled Launch Options. Then you just need to paste this into launch options: cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"

Afterwards you should be able to close that window and then be able to run the game. I had a similar issue.
