Adolphus Butenandt (natus in Lehe (hodie ad Bremae Portum pertines) die 24 Martii 1903; Monaci mortuus die 18 Ianuarii 1995) fuit chemicus et biochemiae peritus Germanicus. Alma mater sua Universitas Goettingensis fuit.

Butenandt anno 1949 (una cum Leopoldo Ruzicka) Nobelianum Chemiae Praemium anni 1939 accepit de studio hormonium sexualium sicut oestrogenum.[1]
