Campus magneticus[1] est campus physicus quem vis magnetica insidet. Qui campus partes conspicuas egit in inveniendis campis physicis Michaelis Faraday operá anno 1850.[2]

Iacobus Maxwell autem primus fuit qui huic notioni modernam vectoris formam dedit. Maxwell quidem monstravit lucem aliasque undas electromagneticas e campo magnetico campoque electrico ortas esse, et quantitatem velocitatis lucis ab hoc deduxit.[3]

Postea Albertus Einstein monstravit campum magneticum esse effectum relativitatis specialis.[4]

Denique, inde ab annis 1960, secundum Theoriam Canonicam hodiernam, omnes vires electromagneticae et campi magnetici (et electrici) intelleguntur photonibus inter particulas commutatis secundum leges quanticas effici.
