Dexter Horne is a PhD student at the Martin School. His research interests include municipal economic development, social welfare policy, and state and local government collaboration.
 
Dexter has served as a Senior Policy Analyst and Leadership Development Specialist at the Council of State Governments where he developed conflict resolution workshops to expand the personal, professional, and emotional skillsets of state policymakers across the nation.
 
Formally trained in public policy analysis and conflict resolution, Dexter champions healthy conflict in the political process as a way to forward the public good.
 
In 2016, Dexter earned his bachelor’s degree in Politics from Centre College. He earned his MPA from the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration in the spring of 2018.
