This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.
Before making a request:
- Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
- Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
- Make sure there are no local checkusers.
- Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

- Discussion: https://uz.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipediya_munozarasi:WikiStipendiya/Forum#Alpaslini_ro%CA%BByxatdan_chiqarish
Reason(s): The main purpose of submitting this request is that the Uzbek Wikipedia administrator and bureaucrat, Nataev, is accusing me of en:WP:Meatpuppetry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry#Meatpuppetry). He claims that user Xhyripomius and I are the same person, and that Xhyripomius is my sockpuppet account. Even though I have repeatedly stated that I am not connected to this user, he has continued to spread these accusations in private groups, defaming me with his suspicions. As a result, over the past three days, I have faced significant mental difficulties and have lost my peace of mind. I even couldn’t sleep last night. These false accusations have pushed me into a suicidal state. At this point, I feel I need psychological help to recover from this situation.
Therefore, I kindly ask you to address this request and help clarify whether or not I am connected to this user. If this is resolved, perhaps they will stop their harassment(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Harassment) and start trusting me. Otherwise, under these defamatory conditions, I will not be able to continue editing on Wikipedia, and this injustice is causing me to lose interest in contributing to it. Xoqoni Said (talk) 18:02, 7 November 2024 (UTC)- This is an interesting case! A user asking for themselves to be investigated! To clarify, Xhyripomius is a second account of another user. Yesterday, they explained their decision to create an alternative account, stating that they personally know many users who have abused the Content Translation tool and want to hide their identity while reporting them. We are still assessing whether this counts as sock puppetry, as in "using multiple accounts in a manner contrary to accepted community practices." If I believe it does, I will initiate a formal discussion on the local administrators' noticeboard. However, a checkuser investigation to determine whether Xhyripomius is indeed unrelated to Xoqoni Said would be helpful. Below, I provide background information and am happy to answer any additional questions.
- Background
- First off, there is a difference between meat puppetry and sock puppetry. I suspected Xhyripomius might be a sock of Xoqoni Said after conducting a preliminary behavior analysis of both accounts, which I outlined in the linked discussion. I provided a timeline of the two accounts' editing patterns and the circumstances surrounding Xhyripomius's sudden reappearance after a eight-month hiatus. One key event was that, on October 20, 2024, I presented irrefutable evidence that Xoqoni Said had been creating poorly machine-translated content on uzwiki. Then, on October 26, another user, @Alpasli, added Xoqoni Said to the list of confirmed machine translation creators, which we use as a tracking sheet. Notably, all of the 100+ users on this list have produced low-quality machine translations. They all became Wikimedians through Wikistipendiya. Unfortunately, most are here merely to win a share of substantial monetary prizes that have been allocated by Uzbekistan's Agency of Youth Affairs. This year the agency has allocated a whopping $29,000 for the three winning "teams" of users. By adding users to the "blacklist," we, members of the Wikimedians of the Uzbek Language User Group, aim to prevent them from claiming prizes. We've been urgning urged the agency not to reward users who have produced substandard, machine-translated content. Another interesting coincidence: less than two hours after Xhyripomius raised concern about my suspicions and threatened to report me on meta, Xoqoni Said started this very discission.
- As for meat puppetry, I suspect that Xoqoni Said and @Axadjon1, both members of one of the competing "teams" for the cash prize along with Mrshaxas (on this user , see the discussion below), Panpanchik, and Anjaniy, have been coordinating their activities offline. The day after I flagged Xoqoni Said's machine translations, Axadjon1 unexpectedly pointed out what he claimed were poor translations by Alpasli — one of the few newer Wikimedians we believed at the time had not abused the Content Translation tool. Then, on 3 November 2024, Xhyripomius criticized Alpasli's work further and suggested that Alpasli be removed from the "whitelist." It's worth noting that Axadjon1, who had previously added dozens of users to the blacklist, openly refused to add his teammate Xoqoni Said.
- Regarding the fact that I shared my suspicions about Xhyripomius in private Telegram groups, it's relevant to mention that Xoqoni Said himself was a member of our Telegram group until I asked the other admins to remove him on 21 October 2024. We've generally done this for users who create machine-translated content, as we regularly discuss our strategies for combating these translations in that group. It doesn't make sense to include users who have engaged in such behavior themselves. Nataev talk 19:47, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- Dear @Nataev
- I have submitted a request here to prove that I did not create a fake account and am awaiting the results. However, you are only confusing the discussion with irrelevant comments unrelated to this matter. Xoqoni Said (talk) 20:17, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- What is a "fake account"? The information I shared above is highly relevant to this case because you're currently part of a group of Wikimedians actively competing for a cash prize. And I was the one who reported to the community that you had created subpar, machine-translated content, which may put your eligibility for the prize at risk.
- It's commendable that you're making an effort to demonstrate that Xhyripomius is not your second account. However, you can't accuse someone of harassment simply for pointing out real and potential issues in your editing behavior. Nataev talk 21:19, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- Apologies. I meant to write en:Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, but I made a mistake because I was tired yesterday. Not only have you highlighted my issues, but you've also repeatedly targeted me in the WM Telegram group, even going as far as to state definitively that this was my account( [1]). This has severely affected my mental well-being. Xoqoni Said (talk) 05:19, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- First of all, the screenshot you shared is from a private group and was never intended to be shared publicly. Additionally, the first message says, 'Someone's sock,' and the second states, 'it could be Xoqoni Said,' which was only a possibility. As I mentioned above, I openly shared my suspicion on Wikipedia. Nataev talk 12:33, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

Reason(s): Good day! I realize this might be an unusual situation, so please let me know if I'm reaching out through the wrong channel.
Mrshaxas has been harassing me on Telegram, as I detailed in the local discussion linked above. Beyond the harassment, there's a serious security concern: while he was messaging me on Telegram, he somehow discovered private groups I'm part of, joined them, and continued to harass me before being banned from all of them. More importantly, at the same time he attempted to breach my wiki account, for which I received a notification both on-wiki and via email.
Given the gravity of this behavior, I'm reporting it here based on the information provided on this enwiki page, which states, "In such cases, a global lock is preferred, as it stops disruption across all projects and preserves user information." The idea is that it would be helpful to have irrefutable evidence that it was him who tried to compromise my account. He's based in Uzbekistan while I'm in Canada. A checkuser analysis will most likely make it all crystal clear.
While he'll likely face a ban on uzwiki, a global ban may be warranted considering the egregious nature of his actions. P.S. In light of all this I finally set up two-factor authentication for my wiki account. Every cloud has a silver lining, I guess. Nataev talk 03:34, 6 November 2024 (UTC)NTUPikachu@zh.wikipedia
