  • As far as I know, it doesn't look like SiuMai have the habit of creating sleeper accounts (three previous checks this year by stewards in April, May and June all did not point to any additional accounts). Actually let me admit my mistake. A zhwiki user pointed out to me that the similarities are apparent to those who are familiar with the editing patterns of certain sockmaster. I've ran a check on TaiwanofChina at enwiki as they were editing disruptively there, and both Changshaone and Zhenggnehz appeared in the same range. A local check would probably be useful. There is also a trail that leads to the original sockmaster, something that I will discuss locally on zhwiki. Alex Shih (talk) 08:15, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Actually the entire closure should be: Since English Wiki CU Alex Shih did a check on enwiki, the zhwiki community used this CU evidence to determine that these are socks. So it sort of Done in a way, and the blocks on zhwiki also indicated a CU block.--Cohaf (talk) 19:31, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Reason(s): Editing articles about no:Iran, Afghanistan, Kurdistan. Aryabod90m, Samandari27a, Aryana1010 and Nouri9a have created user and user talk pages with a single dot. Aryabod90m made several small edits in no:Orientalske tepper to become auto-confirmed, Samandari27a did the same in no:Ahl-e Haqq, and Hurufchi in no:Lurere. This is the same pattern as seen on w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Escoperloit (e.g. [5]). Some edits are constructive, other seem to be POV or are disruptive ([6], [7], [8]). Samandari27a has been blocked on enwp as sockpuppet of Mukri1a (aka Escoperloit). Several stale accounts have similar edit patterns on nowp since several years, and most of them can be identified by the single dot user page/talk page, and/or the user name ending in one/two digits and a letter (e.g. no:Wikipedia:Patruljeringsforum/Arkiv_1#Afghanistan. - 4ing (talk) 08:03, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Jinotega93 calls himself "Herald Francisco" on his user page (link), both users have linked to the same Twitter account on their user pages (Jinotega93 here on eswiki and HeraldFranciscoJarquin2018 here on Wikidata) and both mainly edit d:Q1026296 and d:Q728120 (which can be seen in their contributions).
