My personal journey to help others going through or thinking about the cochlear implant surgery. Today was my implant surgery and I am sharing my peraonal experience to help others. Please ask questions if you're thinking about it. It took about 2 hrs for pre op & 2-1/2 hrs for surgey & about 1 hr recovery. Outpatient surgery you would only stay over night if there were complications which there were none for me so we stayed in a near by hotel. The bandage stays on 24hrs.
