I am looking for ideas and guidance to properly Frame a Roof over an open "U" shaped Patio. The "U" shaped patio is cut into the rear of the house with Hip Roofs on three sides. Your thoughts? Hip Roof, Gable. Flat or ?? Concrete pad is 12' x 20'. I would like to cover the full Patio that does extend out beyond both side walls. My preference is to have a full open span - keeping the outside wall open for now. Your ideas are appreciated.
