The Prolific Home on Instagram: "I’ve been working on the tree for almost a month now. My inspiration for the tree was a sunny winter day with ice melting off an evergreen tree after an ice storm. I have vivid memories driving through Bolingbrook, IL after a two day winter storm where everything was coated in ice—every tree branch, pine needle, street lamp—and the sun had come out and everything began to melt. It was a visual feast of glistening water, catching the light, and bringing movement back to everything that had once been frozen in place. I wanted to recreate that memory more than anything as it’s stuck with me all these years. One 7.5 ft pre-lit tree, 150 glass chandelier pieces, 3,000 strings of tinsel, 13 candles, and 13 satin tied bows later and we’re getting there.
