I found this inscription today, written in a used copy of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. It reads: "To Carol, Immortal words as those that lie between the pages of this book should serve as a friend. - Bonnie 1967" Not only is it a beautiful inscription which speaks volumes about the work itself, but it really makes me think about the relationship between Bonnie and Carol. Who were they to one another? Family? Friends? Lovers? Either way, they must have been close.
