(Saving you 💸 on a serger 😉) The overcast foot comes with some machines, but if not, you can buy the attachment for your specific machine! My overcast foot is compatible with all my Singer machines. You can use the overcast stitches with your regular presser foot! You just caaaan’t get as close to the edge as you would if you were using an overcast FOOT, so you’ll have to spend the extra time to trim your excess fabric off! I do have a serger as well (and I’m very pro-serger 😉) BUT as a beginner, it can be hard to justify the investment of a serger!
