 Hot Work

In addition to potential health and safety hazards, significant property loss may result from temporary or permanent hot work operations. Hot work comes in a variety of applications and each one increases the probability of igniting flammable and combustible materials in the areas surrounding hot work activities.

In order to reduce the possibility of property loss or adverse health and safety effects resulting from incidents associated with hot work operations, the UK Hot Work Safety Program establishes minimum requirements for performing hot work during demolition, construction, renovation, maintenance, and related activities and adheres to the requirements set by the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Administration (KYOSHA).
