All postdocs will inevitably take on leadership and management roles throughout their careers. To better prepare postdocs for challenges that leaders and managers are faced with, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is delighted to offer the Leadership and Management in Action Program (L-MAP). This program was developed by colleagues at Washington University and is intended to introduce postdocs to the interpersonal and psychological foundations of leading teams and managing people. Importantly, it is tailored to postdocs in that it focuses on how to lead without authority (which is typical for postdocs).
