Fall EOP Applicant Checklist
To be considered for the Educational Opportunity Program at San Diego State University, please be sure to complete the following:
- Submit your application for admission to San Diego State University by November 30th
- Submit your completed EOP Application via Cal State Apply by January 15th
- Submit your completed financial aid application by January 5th
- Check your my.SDSU Account for any pending documentation needed
Please Note: Some students may need to verify their financial information by completing the Student Verification Worksheet and/or Parent Verification Worksheet, or by providing a Tax Transcript from the IRS Office. Please monitor your my.SDSU portal for any instructions.
**Please DO NOT send high school or previous school attended transcripts to the EOPOS office. They are NOT required. Please read the following links for SDSU Admission transcript requirements for Freshmen or SDSU Admission transcript requirements for transfers. Official transcripts are not required to be sent until you have been offered admission by the university, or if you are contacted and asked to provide them.
TIPS for Completing your SDSU EOP Application
Please answer YES to the question on CalState Apply- “Do you wish to apply or reapply to EOP?” Once you indicate “yes,” you will have the opportunity to complete the EOP application which is split into 4 different sections.

Page 2: Parent/Guardian & Financial Information
Page 3: Biographical Information (short essays)
Page 4: Letters of Recommendation (2 email addresses required)
If you missed the EOP application filing period or if you were not selected for EOP admission, you may appeal to request consideration by filling out the EOP Appeal Request form by May 1st. Decisions will be made in 6-8 weeks regarding your status. If you did not apply online by January 15th, please submit an SDSU EOP Paper Application with your formal appeal request.
