Get Involved
Different members want different experiences in the Network. We recognize that members’ experiences vary based on their capacity, activity, and commitment. We offer the member “tracks” below as a way to visualize the different levels of engagement possible.
Joining the Network is easy! To become a member, a lead representative for the organization must complete our member application form & attend New Member Orientation within six months. You will be contacted by our Program Manager to schedule your orientation in advance!
Expectations for Network Membership In order to be a Sustaining Network member and have access to targeted opportunities, you must meet minimum engagement requirements, beginning with completion of EOY member survey. If a survey is not submitted, the organization/person will be shifted to a listserv member. In order to be remain a Sustaining Membership, you must attend at minimum two Network Quarterly Meetings.
What if I join the Network Mid-Year? While new Network members are accepted year round, there is a six month waiting period a new organization must complete before access to sustaining membership opportunities. These opportunities can include, but are not limited to, Network fair participation and mini-grants for STEM partnerships and programming. Additional ways to engage during this waiting period include joining a Working Group or hosting a Network event.

The Network meets four times per academic year. Currently, Network meetings are happening virtually and in-person in the 2024-2025 year. Dates for the 2024-2025 year can be found on our calendar.
Working Groups:
Network members can join working groups -- small, cross-sector teams of Network members who work together to address a specific goal of interest to the group as a whole. To find more information about current Network Working Groups and how to get involved, visit the Working Groups page.
