Current commercial hydroponics control systems limit experimentation, are not education-oriented, and assume high levels of system integration. A control system anyone can use and modify can be incorporated into educational content and households interested in alternative farming methods. Creating a small-scale, open-source system allows hydroponics to be more accessible, affordable, and appealing to various amateur audiences.
